Here is an interesting review, a shootout between the much raved about Samsung ML1-710 mono laser printer and the new HP LJ1010 mono laser printer.
Quote from the review:
“First of all, notice that the Samsung was faster in most First-page-out test. This is a little surprising because the Samsung uses USB 1.1 interface which is slower than the USB 2.0 interface used by the HP LJ1010. However, when comes to printing from sleep mode (or power-save mode/standby mode) the first-page-out from HP was way faster. This is an important observation because users will use the printers from power-save mode most of the time. Again, the reason why the HP was faster is because of its instant fuser-on technology. ”
