As part of IBM’s high-end Performance line of monitors, the ThinkVision L190p displays clear, accurate images at a resolution of 1280 x 1024. It delivers excellent performance for a broad spectrum of business applications including complex spreadsheets, multitasking, and financial analysis. It is an ideal replacement for a 19-inch CRT, providing significant space savings and a 12 percent larger viewing area.
“Customers continue to tell us they appreciate IBM’s ergonomic design. With the ongoing increase in flat panel sizes, it was a natural for IBM to introduce a 19-inch display,” says Bob Galush, vice president, PC product marketing, IBM Personal Computing Division. “The innovative design of IBM’s ThinkVision monitors easily provides for a comfortable and productive work environment.”
The L190p’s ergonomic stand is an IBM original design that keeps the base stationary while allowing the monitor itself to swivel 135 degrees in either direction. In addition, the stand offers smooth, effortless tilt and lift adjustments. The lift function provides variable height adjustment within an 80mm vertical range allowing the user to adjust for optimum viewing comfort. So whether the user is 6-foot-4 or 4-foot-6, the stand will adjust to a comfortable viewing position. Additionally, the L190p features 500:1 contrast ratio, 25 millisecond response time and wide 170 degree viewing angles.
The L190p also includes an intuitive on-screen display that provides users with the ability to navigate through functions by providing both icon symbols and text descriptions. In addition, the monitor offers one button access to frequently used monitor functions that adjust the brightness, switch between dual input sessions when attached to two systems concurrently, and automatic image setup that optimizes the image quality. These features are part of IBM’s ThinkVantage Design initiative, which simplifies and enhances usability by offering quick, easy setup and intuitive control.
