Sony Brings the Bling with Swarovski Photoframe

New Polaroid One hits the streets

Polaroid today announced the debut of the all-new Polaroid One instant camera, providing consumers with a sleek, contemporary update to the classic Polaroid One Step camera.

Building on the company’s strength in instant technology, the One delivers the fun and spontaneity of instant photography, combined with the appeal of a more compact, stylish and portable camera.

“Hundreds of millions of instant photos are taken each year,” said Bernice Cramer, Polaroid division vice president, worldwide marketing and product development. “Consumers love the instant photo-taking experience – the joy of watching a photo develop right away and sharing it on-the-spot among family and friends. The Polaroid One gives consumers an instant camera with a great new look, while delivering the immediate gratification they have enjoyed with instant photography for years. And the great new look will make consumers more eager than ever to take the Polaroid One with them.”

The compact size of the Polaroid One – 33 percent smaller and 23 percent lighter than its predecessor – makes it the ideal portable companion for social events, holidays and parties, as well as everyday fun. The new camera also folds down and comes with a convenient wrist strap, which makes it easy to take on-the-go for capturing those spontaneous moments.

The camera has a built-in, automatic flash and a single button for easy photo taking. It features a self-timer and tripod socket, ideal for taking group pictures; a digital film counter, which automatically tracks the number of pictures remaining; and red-eye reduction and flash override to ensure high-quality instant photos. The Polaroid One has a sleek, metallic silver finish and is very compact at 5.7 x 2.8 x 9.6-inches.

Pricing and Availability
The Polaroid One instant camera is available today in the United States at major retailers, traditional photographic stores, and computer and electronic stores and is supported by an extensive advertising, promotional and marketing campaign. The Polaroid One has a U.S. suggested retail price of $49.99. The camera uses large-format 600 instant film, which includes 10 photos per single pack, and is available for a U.S. suggested retail price of $14.99.
