Designtechnica.com becomes DigitalTrends.com; expands content and distribution of news and reviews about trend-setting consumer electronics

Designtechnica.com, a top 100 Consumer and Electronics Web site (ranked by ComScore Media Metrix and Nielson NetRatings), has just changed its name to DigitalTrends.com.  The company has also established new partnerships to redistribute content from DigitalTrends.com via hundreds of media-related Web sites, including those operated by many local broadcast television stations around the country.

With more than 2 million unique visitors each month, DigitalTrends.com is one of the fastest growing Web sites for news, reviews, buying guides, podcasts, and forums about trend-setting products for the hi-tech lifestyle.  The privately held company has not changed ownership or management with the name change.

Digital Trends has recently inked deals to provide its original content to other frequently visited web sites. Through a partnership with World Now, Digital Trends content is being provided to hundreds of news-affiliate sites. Other content distribution partners include Broadband Enterprises and Windowsmedia.com.

Earlier this year, DigitalTrends.com began producing hi-definition videos for its Web site, featuring many new and soon-to-be-released products as well as highlights from the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.  All videos can be viewed at Digitaltrends.com/videos.
