I find the print quality of my 800 very inconsistant. I have had to clean the heads and jets more than any other printer I have ever owned.
In addition, this printer is a ink “PIG”. I replaced my ink carts twice ($130.00) with minimal printing.
I consider this purchase a mistake. Probably headed to my storage area.
Pros: The wifi works well!

After reading many reviews I chose this printer. We use it for our small business. Upon having it now, it requires a little more than just “know how” to get your photos to come out nice (pixels, etc). Oh yeah, did I mention it eats ink alive and at $70 or better a pop that’s a large $$ appetite. Look around before you buy. It’s almost too high tech for itself.

For the money there is no better printer for photos that I have found. With photos, yes, it is an ink hog. But once you see the quality of the photos you will understand why. I have owned this printer for a year and have had to clean the heads once (just now). And I have done a LOT of printing. I would buy another one tomorrow. I love this printer and none of my friends can believe that my printed photos were printed at home. It is an amazing little machine. Other features are great and easy to use. Nice little investment.

The epson printer 800 is a P.O.S!!! Do not purchase one of these things. The makers of this machine should be shot! It prints no more than a couple of pages before consuming ALL OF THE INK!! You must replace every ink cartridge regardless of whether that color is being used and it uses six different colors. The cost of ink replacement requires an organ donation. Not to mention it is made very cheaply. I know reviews like these do not get posted otherwise Epson would never sell one of these. Never again will I buy Epson!!!!

I have had nothing but good reviews from friends on this machine, So I decided to purchase one, When I recieved it, It didnt work, I called custmer support and this is what I got!!! First I was treated like a IDIOT, I happen to be in the computer feild myself. I was then directed to the return dept, were I was told the EPSON doent give refunds (this was 12 hour old printer) they only replace products. I wasnt pleased at all and due to the treatment I will NEVER buy or use a EPSON product again. When I recieve the new printer I will SELL IT> SO EPSON — F&^%K YOU!!!!

This is my third Epson. All replacements. Ink pig. Big bux ink cartridges. It spits out 20 blank sheets to get one print. Paper tray is horrible. And now. It’s making a grinding noise and won’t print. 4 months old. Epson says junk it and buy our 810. You ARE F@%$#^ kidding me right? Going to Frys to look at Canon and Lexmark

I have been pleased with the printing by the Artisan 800, but the Automatic Document Feeder is crap. It stopped working after a few months. Called Epson and the sent a replacement. I have now used the new machine for a few months and have the same problem. I cannot recommend this machine.
