  1. Not a bad little camera

I love the camera and have no noise problem. Might have been a bad camera the other reviewer had. Couple of things con about it. Too many adjustments can only be done via menu and not through on camera buttone. Also a little too light and hard to hold steady without some kind of camera. I work at a newspaper which does nline video. We use a prosumer Sony camera and the canon’s video is equal enough in quality that we do a lot of “B” roll and somtimes as the primary camera when we are really busy.

  2. Loud Tape noise

Bought this camera 2 days ago. Returned it today. You can hear the tape running while recording. That’s not so bad….BUT the camera records this noise and on playback on the TV the noise is so loud as to keep you from hearing quiet conversations and is overall just very annoying. I loved all other features of the camera. Easy to use and took really great video but couldn’t get past the noise issue.
