As for the hardware, I can't say whether it works or not. The software will readjust your screen resolution back to 640/480, and allow you to change resolution modes only as high as 800/600 at 4 (that's right, four) colors. The software you see on the PNY and Nvidia websites are not included on the installation disc, and are not available for downlad from either company. Don't bother trying to update your driver, it won't work. This particular graphics card is an absolute failure, and I'm returning it tomorrow morning. I don't plan to buy a PNY product ever again.

I have played very demanding games without a hitch. BEWARE of some of the reviews written here. It is apparent some folks must be building their own systems or some other problems. Why do I say this? Well the software DOES NOT limit you to 800/600 or 4 colors, and the statement made: "my other comp with half the ram and .8 less ghz with 64 geforce mx agp runs better then this crap PCI graphic card!!!!!!!! " also really is not telling us anything. Did you build a "new" computer? Did you buy a new system? I would suggest you contact Support if you did cause something ain't right. If you built it yourself that explains alot! This is not a place to rant about things like this. GET TO THE BOTTOM OF YOUR PROBLEM!!! Then post, cause I have this card, played CounterStrike no problem, Played Splinter Cell, Rainbow Six 3 Raven Shield, and now Halo 2. So you decide. Is it you or your Graphics Card?

Bought new HP Pavilion. 3.2ghz Hyperthread tech.
512 mb with 200 gb hard drive.
Had the internal 900 media accelerator.
Play Aces High which is demanding on the graphics.
Inserted gf-5200 out of my old compaq.
Kicks Butt. Out performed the built in graphics, which were not too shabby to start with.
Don't know why the other guys have probs with the resolution thing. Not a problem here....

I have a FIC IC-VG61 (Ice Cube); P4 2.4 GHz; 1 GB RAM; 40 MB HDD. I don't do a lot of games, but I do do some graphics intense image file work and some basic video editing/rendering. I actually have the AGP version of this card and it works great (WinXP O/S). Even though this is now (April 2005) a discontinued product, there is still a driver/software update on the PNY site.
The card did have a few problems on the install and required several restarts to sort out all the problems. Maybe because I was switching from the onboard Intel 845GE video to a "stand alone" module. Anyway, I really like the fan, because I'm using the card in a small form factor that will only work to 4x AGP anyway, no point in buying a super expensive card for this slightly older machine. I got the card for $39 at tigerdirect (the AGP version). Definitely worth the money.

I've been running at 1024X768 resolution on a home built P4 HT using a 2.4 gig celeron processor for 2 years and, other than top end graphics games, it has been fantastic.
