Of all the mp3 players available in my local Indian market, I find this player is the cheapest and best one. Stylish and tiny appearance is really applauded. It’s very cute and attractive. Also the sound is good.

Started working out at the gym and needed music! Discman does not cut it – ha-ha! This little gadget is so small and easy to use. All the info you need comes with it or is online. My daughter (who has a Nano) said it’s easier to upload music onto this than her iPod. Not ever having one, I took her word for it. I’m not an idiot but I’m not a geek either and I figured it out all within seconds! So many of these were gone from the store the day I bought it – the only one left was a pink one! I told the sales boy, “That would bother me if I wasn’t a girl!” Hahaha! But I love it – charged it once and I’ve been to the gym for my hour workouts 5 times so far and it’s still going strong. I’d recommend this item to anyone! :o)

This is a great great great player. Simple, great quality, beautiful.
And by the way:
“Lows:
Cannot play while charging; included earbuds are uncomfortable; where’s the software?”
Actually you can download the software from the website so there’s not a big deal about making it a “Low”.

Amazing

I’ve heard repeatedly how the Zen stone is the “iPod shuffle killer” and in more ways it is true…
Whenever I travel I like to have my music and a bulky iPod video isn’t safe and easy to carry around (especially on public transport!) so my brother got me a 2nd gen iPod shuffle (his but barely used) then I found a review on the Zen stone and from what I read it was intriguing so I decided to buy one for myself. The thing costs P1990 (in Philippine peso) while the shuffle costs around 2 to 3 thousand, understandable since the shuffle is labeled with an “apple” and “iPod” it’s a stigma after all. Aside from the price, the manufacturer and the clip the two are disconcertingly THE SAME! although I’m beginning to lean more into creative because the stone is simple to use, when I got it out of the box, I plugged it in my Mac (I nixed the short USB cable and used the USB cable for my phone instead! with the shuffle, you can only use the dock!) and while it was charging, I just drag and dropped my music files and some pictures into it even before installing the creative media lite software! also, with the shuffle, I can only sync one playlist at a time (so music that I download from one pc has to be transferred to my Mac before I can play them on my shuffle) but with the stone, after I got all the songs I wanted from my iTunes, I plugged the thing to the pc and got the songs there! Simple and no software! All in all, I find this gadget amazing; it’s cheaper but more functional.

Nice player for the money. One reservation is the quality of the plastic case. After one day spent in my otherwise empty pocket it no longer looks shiny, sexy and bright but looks like it’s been chewed by a dog and is already scratched, dull and unhappy looking. Shame really as it looked beautiful when shiny and new!

Does everything the shuffle can

It’s $40 and does everything the $100 shuffle can, it gets a 9 because the earbuds do suck.
And Steve, do you actually think Creative is going to consider what 2% of the possible buyers think of the little flashing light?

Little coloured Lights?

I’m color blind. As are a most decent aged males on this planet. Little flashing colored lights, as a rule, are useless to me. Especially red versus green vs yellow.
When are designers going to realize this?

Great product, cheaper and better sounding than the 2nd gen iPod shuffle. gets a 9 because it doesnt have a clip like the shuffle.
