Do not buy Denon DCM 390

Bought a DCM 390 from Super Store in VT to replace my 15 year old Toshiba 6+1 CD magazine, paired well with my Luxman Hi Fi system. Loved the magazine, not thrilled with a carousel, but not many choices for CD changers. Chose Denon because they claim the DCM 390 features Hi Fi quality. The first Denon did everything but play, Denon support center had no helpful comment. The store swapped it out no problem, the second unit worked well for 2 weeks, great sound, noisy cd change mechanism. Dropped a CD in machine when carousel door closed. Retrieved the CD, but the machine jammed and would no longer play! Denon would not help or cover out of (neighbor) country warranty. The Super Store was gracious accepted the return and refunded me no problem. The local service dealer told me he sees lots of Denons needing repair. PC control cards are a problem. Advised to get a Yamaha, I bought a CDC 697, the unit has a superior look and feel, super quiet CD change mechanism, sound quality is just fine.
