Great Picture for the Price

Uses Faroudja DCDi technology, one of the least expensive players with this chip. Great picture produced through analog component output to my Sony Wega 27″. Dolby Digital Optical output produces clean sound that is really appreciated. This player was to correct color stability, chroma errors, and other issues found in the 900 and other manufacturers hardware.
Considered Panasonic but dropped out of contention after finding too many complaints of error code failures after short periods of time.
The remote is not backlit, making it useless, and the player is a little slow to respond but overall, works all right.
The contrast, brightness, color, geometry, and tint are all exceptional!!! After calibration with Digital Video Essentials, the analog signal was quite impressive. Hope to get a front projector soon to see how well the progressive mode works.
Overall, the best bang for the buck for this technology and I would wager on Denon vs. Panasonic for durability.

The DVD-910 consistantly has brightness flicker problems on my Sony Vega 24″ TV when connected with component cables. The problem is really pronounced on dark scenes with the black level set to on (default).
