Had mine for over a year now and it still runs like a champ. Never had any over heating issues and recently upgraded to a new power supply, video card and memory and the ease of upgrading was phenominal. Can now play WoW at max settings during 40 man raids with no hit on FPS. Don’t underestimate the power of these cheap machines. Only a hardcore enthusiast would really have an issue.
And to the doof who claims they have to go online every time to get drivers… learn to use the CDRW drive the thing came with… DOH!
And Bill, you may want to check where you placed your tower and make sure it’s not under any undue stress and allowed plenty of room to vent. That sounds more like an over heating issue than anything else.

I purchased a year ago, play some medium graphics games like GTA vice city, works good. It is on 24 hours a day. keeps downloading, web surfing is fast as highest end comp. Did some bit of video editing also.
Overall I never had a bit of pain, excellent machine for this price. Infact excellent machine for a normal daily use.

I can write papers, Watch anime, surf the web. I’m not a gamer. This works fine for me. The one problem I had was finding drivers for the ethernet card, modem, and sound card.
