this is a great computer, its fast, I never had to bring it in for repairs, upgrades were easy.

This Computer Makes me Mad

Overall, this computer is a good one. Balancing processing speed, with power and a decent GPU. But the two things that are wrong with this computer are: It’s faulty DVD/CDRW Combo Drive and the fact it has no AGP slots on the motherboard.
I recently got Final Fantasy XI, and cannot play it on this computer because of the no AGP slots on it, and FFXI requires that you have a NVIDIA or RADEON GPU installed. Now I was going to upgrade my GPU anyway, but this sorta pushed me to it. Now I can’t, and I’m pissed, and I want to throw the computer away.
The combo drive it has (HL-DT-ST RW/DVD GCC 4480B) is a faulty, but decent drive. For a while, I was having trouble with it, but now that I did a registry clean up and fixed the problem it’s fine. Although I’ve heard of stories of people having this problem more than once, when trying to play CDs.
