Just got mine today. WOW. the screen is huge, the processor is greasy fast, the DVD is fast, the gigabit ethernet port is fast.. keyboard is fullsized. integrated floppy and dvd-r. no swapping here. two minor drawbacks – 4200rpm hard drive and arrow keys on keyboard are smaller than usual. otherwise, WOW. 800mhz frontside bus, P4 3Ghz with HT. integrated wireless. DVD’s look great. wow.

I recently graduated college and recieved this as a present. I am extremely satisfied. It has plenty of battery power to play a DVD. It plays every new game with ease. I read the reviews for this machine on the net and saw statements such as ” World fastest…”. More power than a MAC G5 and I can take it anywhere, good job gateway.

  3. It's Got Everything

I’ve had it now for over a month with no problems; I love it. I wanted a laptop with all of the latest toys (3.2GHz P4, dual channel RAM, the new 865 chipset, ATI radeon 9600 graphics card, and a 17″ screen), but it had to be stable. This is it! There’s no reason to get something else that is already outdated for the same price from one of the other companies. Plus, Gateway tech support and customer service are friendly, quick, and knowledgeable (and I’m the guy that calls them about EVERYTHING).

  4. GREAT SYSTEM

I’ve had this system for 3 days now and am completely impressed with it. It is fast, quiet, easy to use and pleasing to the eyes. Everyone that sees it remark at how great it looks. The one complaint is that it won’t load SUSE Linux 9.0, yet. Coming from a Dell and Sony laptop this thing is much better than any of the before mentioned vendors products that I ‘ve used or owned. Last but certaintly not least, tech support – Sonys support is complete crap & Dells support has definitely seen its best times. The 3 times I’ve called Gateways support line I found that they were extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgable. Could not ask for any thing better.

This notebook is everything I’ve ever wanted in a PC. And I never thought I’d say that about a notebook!

I got mine for Christmas so I haven’t logged that much time using it…yet. But what little time I have spent in front of this notebook has been QUALITY time.

I just demo’d this new portable at the Maryland Technology Showcase in Baltimore last week.

I was very impressed with its screen size and it processing power. I am glad you reviewed it and wow what a portable desktop!
