I have the 40GB version and love it – BUT, after two weeks of daily use, I still don’t have the controls fully figured out and I’m a total geek! This is no reason not to get it, but beware if are going to buy it for someone not good with controls (like grandma). The FM tuner works great, and being able to make back-up copies (ahem) from a friend’s pc or cd player directly (in the digital domain, thanks to the digital in/out) is very useful. The built-in microphone is great for memos to self or taping a client interview and such. Highly recommended for the other geeks out there 8c)

If you are a PC user, this mp3 player beats the ipod hands down. It has a remote, which is very convenient. It doesnt use proprietary software like itunes or musicmatch to transfer files etc. It stores files like a regular HD (not some crazy dir structure like iPods), and you can use it as a regular HD too. It records via optical or minijack and has an FM tuner. Not to mention the battery is way higher quality and you get 16hrs of battery life. I could go on… but this player has to be the best one on the market.
