One of the best cameras in the market!

For what it can do for its size it’s really incredible!

But be serious guys, nothing can be perfect… everything has its good and it’s bad.

The good things about this camera are simply far more than some small bad that it has.

  2. kodak v610 - battery problems

I bought the Kodak v610 this February 2007 and thought it fantastic. Three months later the battery wouldn’t recharge. Returned it to shop and given a brand new camera. Went to Spain for Christmas and the same thing happened. Battery wouldn’t recharge hence any photos of holiday. Anyone else had this problem?

  3. Sturdiest compact digital camera I have ever had

The Kodak v610 is the sturdiest compact digital camera I have ever had. I also have a digital SLR with the same 6.1MP, but I like to have a little camera to carry with me in my purse or where the SLR & all of its accessories just aren’t feasible. For instance, I just got back from rafting on the Ocmulgee this weekend and I took the v610 with me since it can easily fit into a couple sandwich-sized ziploc baggies (double-bagged), and it takes a licking and keeps on ticking! It never hit the water but there was definitely some splashing. I have also accidentally dropped it from about 4 feet. This camera has the same 6.1MP that my bigger pro SLR has with almost equal the zoom, and a wider angle than other compacts. Great camera for the money!

I’ve just purchased the V610 online this arvo and silly me – didn’t think to read the reviews before I purchased it. I bought the Version B – Apparently it has fixed some issues of the original v610. Well fingers cross the seller will cancel my order. If not – I’ll keep you all informed of the “New Version B V610″

I’m very unhappy with my new camera. I’m unable to take a clear picture at night or with low lighting. The camera has so many scene mode I don’t find it a good point an shoot camera. I usually like to just be able to point and click and not have to find the correct mode to take a clear picture. Most of my pictures have a red or yellow burr warning. Wish I never bought it.

I love this camera! I bought it yesterday and have had no problems with it what so ever, it takes good quality pictures and the panoramic view is amazing! I don’t see why people are putting it down, I’m really impressed with what it can do!

I have owned this camera for 1 day. I charged the battery as recommended and then proceeded to set the camera up. However, when I went to take pictures, the lens cover stuck half open. Then when I turned the camera off…it did not close. I gave it a 3 because of how easy it was to set up and navigate through the menu. It will slip into your pocket with ease. The lcd viewer is wonderful. Hopefully my problem will be resolved quickly and it will prove to be a fun camera.
