This has to be the best keyboard ever! Everything about it shouts "look at me I’m cool and Shiny". With this keyboard I have become the envy of all my friends and it pretty much kicks butt in and out of GAMES. Plus the game mode switch is pretty neat….. And the back lighting looks legend. If you don’t have one buy it NOW!!!!

Well, I have had this keyboard for 6 months. I have no Idea what people are talking about paint chipping away, I have had no problems with it whats so ever. I run windows and linux and this works very very well in both. Overall a truly great gaming keyboard. Hoping to take this keyboard to quake con.

Great keyboard

Had this keyboard for about two weeks now and really love it! It looks really cool with the glowing keys and LCD display and it is an absolute pleasure to type on!
My only gripe would be there is a shocking lack of support for the LCD and G keys. I have had trouble finding any useful apps for the LCD and the G keys can’t be used unless you have yet another process running in the background slowing your machine down.

Paint comes off keys

Like outher have stated the paint wears off the keys. After 3 months of use my space bar had a nice clear spot. Keyes sould have been molded black with clear letter inserts. Dont buy it unless they change paint on the key design issues.

great new toy, wanted a backlit keyboard and the feature to disable the windows key and right click key is way cool…. kind of cool to be able to have a nice LCD utilization meter…. BTW, to Sock B. who posted above, the game-mode switch is FAR from useless, it turns off the windows key and the right-click key on the keyboard, which if accidentally hit whilst gaming, will cause one to get kicked back to the Windows desktop… so it is indeed useful!

great feel

installation of software was a cinch, and runs perfectly, the ability to creat custom macros for any game either in the windows environment, or in game is an incredibly usefull feature for any new online RPG.
The feel of the keys in great, and the wristrest’s soft rubbery feel is very comfortable. I’ve had myne for almost 3 months, and it is showing no sign of wear, my previous microsoft cheapy keyboard’s letters had started to fade after a little while.
the only disadvantage of this keyboard is it’s size, this thing is huge. I must say I like the fact that they didn’t try to shrink it by using the new trunkated home, end, Page up/down delete style of keys being arranged vertically, instead of their standard horizontal 6 key setup including the insert key.

Those of you who are thinking about buying this product read
link taken from http://www.g15forums.com:

I recently bought this keyboard and experienced problems with the arrow keys. I started off by e-mailing Logitech product support and that wasn’t any help. Then I called there support line and went through 3 different operators and that wasn’t any help. I spoke to a manger and he could not even tell me which one of his keyboards I can use with the games that I play. So now I’m stuck with this $100 thing, when I really had no problem with my $10 keyboard that worked. This is advertised as a gaming keyboard but buyer beware if you use “arrow keys” this device is not for you. The people at Logitech who designed this keyboard know about this issue but I was told that it will not be fixed.

Isn't all it is cracked up to be

I’ve had mine for about 2 months. In that time the legends on the keys have started chipping off. It looks awful now. The keys apparently are clear plastic with black paint on them, masked off for the legends. The quality of the masking is not great, and as I mentioned, the mask starts chipping off after a month of use.
The back lighting is too dim for a brightly lit room and there is no contrast on the key legends with out the backlight, so you can’t see the key legends in a bright room.
Also, I have not been able to get the software to install and work properly on windows XP running on an AMD 64×2, so the extra keys do not work at all, and the LCD will only display the logitech splash screen. Logitech support has not even answered any of my queries about the software.
This keyboard is not worth the premium paid for it. Save your money and buy something else.

Great gamer's keyboard

Finally a top-quality gamers keyboard with solid support and drivers!
I love this keyboard.
It’s not suitable for heavy typing, though, as the keys are pitched very much to suit gaming only.
Still, 9/10 for a great quality product.

10 – 30 days? I’ve been waiting for this for nearly 2 months in the uk, and Logitech still show no signs of having them in stock (note that Logitech themselves are out of stock of these)
One wonders if there was something of a fault with the keyboards, as according to what little information I can gather they have been out of stock now for nearly three months.
Its a crying shame, as I really want one, but I’m not prepared to wait 6 months for it, and will cancel my order before too long.

It has been a few weeks that I have received my G15 keyboard and I must say that it is one of (if not THE) best keyboards currently on the market. I consider myself as a gamer. Though I do not play MMORPGs (Where the macro keys would be best used), but rather FPS games such as Counter-Strike:Source, I found them (macro keys) to be excellent to setup the buy menu. The LCD screen blew me away with its flexibility and the backlighting of the keys was (and still is) perfect. The only disadvantages that I would mention would be the current lack of support for the LCD screen (for us non C++ cracks), the uselessness of the “game mode switch” and the fact that fingerprints apear quite easily on the rubber-like material used on the outline of the keyboard. Other than those little annoyances, the Logitech G15 Gaming Keyboard is a MUST for the Hardcore Gamer (and even non-gamer) out there.
