1. Great but limited lifespan

   Very accurate, very comfortable. The scroll wheel and fwd/back buttons are great… but when the battery stops holding charge the mouse is useless. Very happy with the mouse and very disappointed with the battery.

2. MX Revolution Wheel Stops Working

   The rubber strip on the scroll wheel will loosen up within a couple months making the wheel useless. It no longer spins free and is actually very difficult to turn. This seems to be a known problem at Logitech, but the only solution is to return it for the same future problem, see –

3. Battery life sucks and they can't be replaced

   I bought my MX revolution as a manufacture refurbished unit and the battery wouldn’t hold a charge at all. I thought mfg. refurbished meant it would meet mfg. specs. This one most certainly does not.

4. Good mouse for general use

   Quite a good mouse for the overall use, battery life didn’t last as long as I thought it would. Other than that I find the mouse great, the “alt tab”- feature gets a bit annoying.

5. Stay Away

   The mouse its self is quite an eye popper. As a gamer the extra programmable buttons and the accuracy of the mouse were a great seller point. Putting in the CD I was prompted with the installation window. Clicking next I was immediately prompted if I want to install Yahoo tool bar. I am not a fan of tool bars at all, but why would a product I paid over one hundred dollars for contain adware? Anyway walking through the installation took a while to install, and I was prompted to reboot which was fine. After booting up I found the set point software running, but there was not an option for my mouse. The mouse was not even detected as a Logitech device. Looking on the Logitech support forums I was over whelmed at the post of people who have bought a Logitech mouse only to find that set point does not work. The forums were filled with people who had went through the same experience I myself had. Even though there were vast amounts of set point post, most topics had 0 responses to their plea for help to get set point to work. After a while I finally found a topic which had general troubleshooting steps (none of which worked) but the resolution for this person was to install a very old version to which the support person took credit for resolving the issue…. How is that resolving the issue? Needless to say I am on my way back to the store to return.

6. Get it on sale

   It’s a very good mouse overall but it isn’t good enough to spend $90 on to replace your existing wireless optical mouse (if you’re still using a corded mouse, it’s a very good buy). Buy it on sale; I got it for $50 on Black Friday. Pros – (a) feels sturdy and comfortable in the hand (b) scroll wheel is awesome, especially in the mode where it automatically shifts from the new free spin to traditional scrolling; manual shifting from one mode to another is harder to engage as you use the mouse more and more, but it isn’t too big of a problem (c) looks sleek (d) wireless function and responsiveness are reliable (e) battery lasts about 5 days on average (average usage being 3 hours a day on a laptop) and is rechargeable.

   Cons – (a) the document flip is really not that useful; in fact, I’d like to see a future version of this mouse without it and instead have the forward and back buttons in its place (to suit the natural position of the thumb) (b) the scroll wheel in the free spin mode is a bit too reponsive sometimes and needs to be calibrated a bit using the software. Others – I haven’t really used the search button very much so I can’t comment on its performance.

7. Amazing

   The mouse is large but most people nowadays are used to larger mice in lieu of former Logitech products. I really like this mouse and would take over the MX 1000, it is very comfy and fast. The scroll features are amazing and the document flip is convenient. As a pre med student the 1 toutch search button a useful.

   The only drawback is that you can’t replace the battery, but it is a good one.

8. Non functional middle button

   The mouse is overpriced but OK, except that there is no functional middle click, very important for tabbed navigation in firefox and other programs.

   By default, pressing the wheel as middle button is disabled; you can enable it in setpoint software, but works awfully, very unreliable. Worse, you cannot assign middle click functionality to wheel-right or wheel-left or to the “one-touch search” button. Avoid this mouse, is a step backwards from the MX1000, both in hardware in software (the setpoint settings are incredibly limited… why????). By the way, does anybody on earth use the wheel-left or wheel-right buttons? it adds mechanical complexity (and so, cost) hampers the use of the wheel as button and adds absolutely no useful functionality.

9. Mx Revolution

   I just got this mouse because my MX 1000 charger and battery died. I don’t like it.

   It is FAR smaller than the 1000 and way harder to handle. I liked the feel of the larger 1000. This is supposed to be easier on your hand but I find my hand tires on it quite easily. The scroll buttons are ok, but the switch document button is too easy to activate. When I’m gaming… if i even touch the button it knocks me out to windows start screen. Nice try Logitech… but… stick with what worked… MX 1000 !!!!

10. Battery Failure

    I’ve seen 4 months of service before I started seeing the dreaded flashing red battery indicator. Logitech technical support is making the replacement as difficult as possible. I’m not going to be purchasing more Logitech products until I see a change in their customer service.

11. Needs Improvement

    The design and look are great, and the mouse feels very comfortable in your hand. The dual wheels are increbily cool for many things. However, the unswappable battery is a piece of trash. It loses charge quicker and quicker the more you use it, till the point that it lasts for only minutes. Mine worked well for about five months before I had to trash it. I strongly suggest buying a wireless mouse that was changeable batteries instead.

12. Has a flaw

    The faw is that the battery cannot be user replaced. Everything else about this mouse is flawless.

    Anyone who designs a device whereas the the battery cannot be replaced by the end user… Or… Anyone else. Well this is just not a good thing.

    The "I" Phone and this mouse are in the same class. Trash after battery failure.

13. MX Rev for work.

    I bought this as a refurb off Woot and it works great. I love the scroll wheel and the fit to my hand is excellent. I bought it for work to replace the cheap $5 optical mice they give us and this morning sitting at home, I already miss it. Might have to get a second one.

14. Great Mouse

    I have had this mouse for several months and have found it to be the absolute pinacle of mousing. The design fits perfectly and even on days when I use the mouse for several hours straight my hand doesn’t get tired. The sroll wheel is addictive and soooo convenient. As for gaming, I do a lot of it. This mouse is used with my HTPC to do all the “normal” computer functions and to double as my gaming mouse as well. No matter what I do with it the mouse is a fantastic match.

    I have never been happier with a mouse. I went from the DiNovo to this mouse combined the the DiNovo Edge keyboard and have been completely satisfied ever since.

15. Too Big

    The MX Revolution is great if you are used to larger mice, for me it just feels too big and awkward. Battery life is good though. I just prefer wired mice for gaming.
