I have had 2 of these. The flimsy rubber ear gasket tore in less than 6 months of use (about 5 hours a week) The second one did the same in 8 months and the hinge broke rendering it useless. I will not be buying Motorola again. I should have learned from the Flip-Phone !

First BT headset

Everyone I talked to said I actually sounded clearer while using it. However, I could barely hear anyone. There is a lot of static noise through the earpiece and it does not get loud enough to hear the other person if you are anywhere but a quiet room. Thus, I am returning it. I read so many good reviews, I thought this would be great, but alas, it is merely a "toy" and worse than my nephews $7 "toy" walkie-talkies.

Everything but the Mic volume OK

I liked the styling and fit, as I wear hearing aids, and the listening volume was OK, but every caller I talked to throuth it was complaining that I sounded ‘far away’. One feature that needs to be explained to the end user is that if you use a phone with voice dialing, record the voices through the headset, instead of the phone. Once that is done, it works quite well. Motorola needs to add mic volume adjustments, otherwise, it’s not worth it.

Can't hear it

I bought this headset on recommendation from the salesman at Bestbuy when I was returning the Jabra BT800. It is just as bad as the Jabra, if not worse. At some point they need to make a headset that has all of the supposed quality of these expensive units but has an earbud like the cheaper models so that you can hear it in loud settings. Also, I had trouble with it not answering calls on a consistent basis.

Low volume

The unit works fine in a room where background noise is low or limited.
It is almost impossible to use it in the car where backgound noise is high: the volume is too low and it becomes almost impossible to clearly hear what the other person is saying. The other problem is that the mike picks-up all the background noise and this gets very anoying for the person at the other end of the line.
I had to buy a wired Plantronics headset for my car use.

It works!

I’ve had no problem with the volume levels, sending or receiving.
It would be helpful if I could open the mic when I have the set on my ear, but that’s only a minor inconvenience.
When I first put it on my ear, it felt “loose”. I adjusted it, and it feels very secure when it’s positioned the way it should be. The adjustment took a couple of tries, but it was not too challenging.
I’m not sure I like the blinking blue light when the unit is “on”. It looks “geeky” to me.
Summary.. the negatives are all minor, and the unit works great. I recomment it highly.

The volume is not good and for the caller that I am speaking with, they can hear everything. I am not able to use some of the simple features, like answering a call or picking up on a second call. The fit is not the best either. I will be returning this item. I looked for over a month for a wireless headset and I guess the hunt will continue.

Volume, interface = unusable device

Sound volume on my unit was simply not high enough for even moderate-noise environs. And the folding boom on/off requires you to remove it from your ear. Finally, I found it uncormfortable and insecure while wearing. I took it back.

Looks stylish – but sound quality and fit are poor. for $99 I was expecting more quality in both speaker and microphone sound quality.
