Summary
The Nikon D3000 is a budget version of the D5000 and is Nikon’s smallest DSLR. The D3000 doesn’t have the video recording capabilities of the D5000 and has a slightly smaller sensor at 10 megapixels versus 12 megapixels for the D5000. It does however have a larger 3-inch LCD display, which doesn’t rotate like the D5000 screen. Other notable features include 3 fps of continuous shooting, 6 automatic scene modes, and automatic image sensor cleaning.
