I have been using Olympus when all the hardcore Nikon and Canon fans did nothing but laugh. I know this to be true. I will put my pics against the best of the best any day. As for the 500 and 510, they are picture taking machines. Remember, it’s not just the camera, teach yourself well and look out, the results will amaze you. Just bought the E3 a few days ago, wow, look out Nikon and Canon, there’s a new sheriff in town. Speed. My wildlife shots are going to be awesome, hey, I can brag, I’m not the best photographer in the world but I can say my pics are up to par with everything I have seen. Just do your homework, learn the digital path and you will see great results!!!! I still like to take my old film cams out and take a few shots every now and then. Oh, and yeah, they are also Olympus. Let’s hear it for Olympus, keep up the good work!!!! NIKON WHO, CANON WHO!!!! Olympus holds its own, and very well indeed!!! One more note, all my pics are shot with an Olympus camera, I do not doctor them in Photoshop or with any other program. I believe the pic you take speaks for itself, don’t make it what it’s not by adding or taking away. When you open your eyes in the morning and look in the mirror what do you see, you see YOU, not something else that’s been made over. Peace is with you all!!!!

I have used Olympus digital cameras for years. I have had an E20 and currently own an E500 and an E510.
Both cameras are well built and produce very good photos. I have enlarged several from the E500 to 13×19 with beautiful results and the E510 is a step above that, with the new True Pix 3 processor and the MOS sensor instead of the CCD.
Olympus quietly delivers the goods at prices much better than Nikon or Canon.(I’ve owned both brands)
