The device is incredible. The volume on the phone is poor, but if you load Volume Care it solves that issue completely. I love my Treo.

Trying to have a conversation on a Palm 650 Treo is like trying to hear someone while your head is submerged in a bathtub. You can buy for its PDA value, but as a phone is practicaly useless.

Excellent device! The 650 has 320×320 screen and not 160×160 as stated in the review. The Treo 600 has 160×160.
With the exception of a few mysterious crashes, the device is amazing!

i meant to give a low score to the review, not to the treo 650! … also, i didn’t realize that i was allowed to enter more text in the box than would appear, so where my previous post trails off after “too…” there was a bunch more about the integration goodness of the treo, which i thought was missing from the review!

  5. it's a platform, not just a product

i disliked this review because, after a year with the treo 650, i’ve come to see it as a platform rather than just an out-of-the-box experience. the review erred in saying that opera is not available for it—installation is complicated, but i use opera on my treo 650 every day and would NEVER go back to blazer … i use the tomtom gps system, snappermail, ereader, megaclock, sied, and tr3 (full text wikipedia!), along with the built-in calendar and phone book (most people i know use datebook3 instead of the calendar) … together, all these tools make the treo 650 a platform i would not have dreamed i was getting even months after i purchased it … it’s grown

This is the most remarkable device I have ever had the joy to own. A telephone, television, camera, GameBoy, iPod, IM, e-mail (from multiple and any source), web browser, answering service, FAX, alarm clock, note book, laptop, word processer, and or any other use you ever needed in your palm.
