Disappointing

Approx a year after purchase, the picture would go black or the tv would shut off. Customer Service said I could pay them to look at it. Soon after I called them, it began working reliably again. A year has gone by and the TV has now completely died. Philips will fix or replace the tv for $283. I’ve calculated that I’ve already paid an average of $200 per year for an unreliable tv that appears destined for the landfill. This is the only Philips product I’ve owned and I don’t plan to buy anymore of their products.
