Great machine but no Firewire input

Almost everything about this machine is great, but the lack of a firewire input kills the deal for me. What is Pioneer thinking? You cannot upload from your digital cmcorder?! Add that (and make titling easier) and it becomes a 10!

Great Machine

Our family uses this machine primarily to record student lessons transmitted by satellite from BJU. The 80GB hard drive makes this task a breeze since we have to record four different grades. If we had to use a unit without a HD we would have to manually remove an insert a DVD blank for each grade level. With the HD we can edit separate and record each block of classes for each grade level individually.
The only complaint my son had was creating thumbnails it’s somewhat labourous using the up & down arrow key to create titles.
This is a minor glitch that has not detered me from recomending this machine.
