I have been using my headset for almost a year now and all I can say is good job Plantronics. They did the DSP 550 right, I’m a gamer and I use Skype a lot, and the crystal clear noise canceling microphone and awesome quality in the speakers, makes it an experience never to forget. Also something that is not recommended but I do when my speakers died out for a week… These headphones ARE LOUD!!! I am in windows vista and anything over a 8% volume is torture, so I can crank it to 100% and put it on my table and get my music blasting as if it were a nice set of speakers lol, again don’t do this, you could blow your headphones, I haven’t yet, but I give this a 10 of 10, I haven’t found a better headset yet…

Ok the sound is great; mic quality is ok but one thing: the mic just cut out and wouldn’t work at all and now I have no headset.

The sound is one of the best I have heard and I’ve been through plenty of headsets. I found the cord too long which is the only thing I didn’t care for.

This headset costs way too much, I would recommend the Sennheiser PC 160 headset instead, it sounds better and feels better, plus it costs less.

I have tried these, and I think the sound quality is really good, but they make your ears hot, plus they feel heavy after long use.

I am not sure using the USB connection is the smarted idea, it sucks up power and CPU cycles, I think using the regular headphone jack would have been good enough.
