going to buying my 3rd headset, and no this is not because they have malfunctioned. Its the best headset ive ever used, my dog just happens to like to chew on the cord, ANGER! been through quite a few headsets the DSP-500 is well worth it.

I’ve tried many, I MEAN DOZENS, of headsets, and this one is really comfortable, lightweight and easy to carry. I travel a lot and this one beats the rest (some of which are priced in the $200-300 range!!!).

Plantronics DSP 500 is the dogs!

Bullet-proof; sound quality is astonishingly superb; super-comfortable for extended Halo playing; and support from them is second-to-none. The boom mic folds neatly up into the head-set when you’re not using voice-comms too, which is nice and most importantly of all, you get an over-generous amount of cable length to attach to your PC, and I mean VERY generous.
I tried 3 of the Logitech range first and didn’t like the fit and the cable wasn’t as long as the Plantronics, but everyone to their own. I endured two weeks’ solid research and settled for Plantronics. I know my investment will last for years.

I own and operate an online gaming clan within the Quake 3 community. Both myself and another clanmember own DSP500 headsets and both of them have failed after eight months. The left channel where the microphone is located fails to procude audio after a little more than half a year. Do not buy the headphones, as both of us have been forced to buy new headsets and waste $85.00 on this terrible headset.
