Locks up, need to reboot, bad servi

Don’t buy….locks up using firewire at better than 3 hr quality, recording from VCR after tape material ends causes corrupt DVD.
Very poor service from RCA…..I think they are swamped from customers complaining about their product!

it recorder 1 show and then stopped

RCA actually sent this as a eplacement for a defective 8005…I reorded ONE time on it and now it doesnt recognize when it has a DVD of any kind in it. I can hear the DVD clunkin around in it. RCA wil not replace it, since I did not “purchase” this recorder. This will be my last RCA product!

Very Atari like in menu system
Corrupts DVDs and connot be recovered
RCA has a firmware upgrade but the file is corrupt so you can’t burn it to CD.
I regret this purchase!
