I have read all of the comments, and I have to agree with the others. When I purchased my TV Ididn’t want to keep buying a tube for the 42′ we had, which kept blowin up every yr. Big mistake purchasing another RCA 61′HDtv barely a yr old and the”Convergence” doesn’t workits not even on the “Menu” in order to make the picture worth lookin at. I call the company I purchased it and he call the Part and Service people ad guess what we haven’t heard anything except ther voice-mail. I think RCA make it good for all of us. Is there’s anyone that can he help us . RCA company should be made to do right by the customers. This is our hard earn money we are investing in a company that don’t have any respect for themselves or any of us.

I bought the RCA 61″ dlp a little over a year ago, within a month the sound was coming and going, and within 6 months the TV was turning on and off by itself and half the time the screen would just go black. Luckily I purchased the 4 year extended warranty, but come to find out this warranty covered everything except what was broken on my TV, it cost me $254.00 out of pocket. A friend of mine has the same TV and his won’t turn on or off at all. Terrible TV, terrible customer service, don’t buy this TV!!!!!

RCA has issues

I have a 50 inch DLP, I have had the TV. for 12 months and a week and the bulb is already dead, RCA says 4-6 thousand hours for bulb life, that is only a little over a year of 12 hour a day use and on top of that now I can’t get the part because RCA doesn’t have any. Overall they just suck. The picture is great; too bad it just never works.

3 yrs = 3 bulbs and a color wheel. Still own it. What happened to RCA?!!! I’ll never know when they get their reputation back, because I currently own my last RCA.

I bought an RCA 50″ for my husband for his birthday. 6 months later is was not working. We then had 6 months of back and forth with the aurthorized repair center who could not fix it. Once the 1yr was up they wouldn’t return our calls. It took Thomson another year to resolve the issue. They gave us the 61″ which cost less than the 50″. We were happy to have a working TV until 8 months later it quit working only to find out that a replacement doesn,t come with a warranty. We have written to Thomson without a reply. No customer service to speak of. No product backing, and the web site contains no address or phone #’s for consumer complaints, I WONDER WHY! It has been only short of an nightmare dealng with this company. You should read their code of ethics printed on the website if you would like a good laugh.

This TV is just bad news from the day I got it till now almost 1 year later. The first one was replaced because it never worked and now a few months down the line the new one is giving me problems. Not to mention the customer service they have given me such a hard time you would have said they gave it to me not that I paid almost 3,000 for it.

Mine stopped working after 3 months with another 3 months of hastling with RCA and receiving the worst customer service ever… I still don’t have a new one. For some reason it takes 4-6 weeks for them to find one to send to me. DO NOT BUY AN RCA TV.

Maybe I just received a one in a hundred defective tv, but my tv died after only 6 months and needed to be repaired. once the 1 year warranty wears off, do you want to spend a couple hundred dollars every 6 months to repair the tv?
