Have had this monitor for 3 years and used it for multimedia as well as software development. Like it a lot and have had no problems with it. The screen is really flat, nice colors and good refresh rate.. I use it mainly at 1200×1024 as the higher 1600×1200 resolution makes the text look very small. (Yes, I know you can adjust font size in XP, but many programs don’t behave nice when a non-standard font setting).
Would certainly recommend it over others cheaper models.

I bought the samsung 955df 19″ monitor for $300 at best buy in 2002. Before purchasing, I must have spent at least an hr comparing the visual quality, flatness, controls and physical looks of everything they had on the shelf and the Samsung easily won out. The only thing I rated better was a Sony, but that was close to $500 and the difference wasn’t worth the price.
I have had this monitor for 3 years now, and am very pleased with it. I do a lot of graphics and video work and occassional games and the color rendition is excellent. Even use it as a backup TV with my ATI all in one TV card. The primary resolution I use it at is 1600×1200@75hz.
