I can’t buy products of Sennheiser from my place because my place is not urban. I ordered it at an authorized dealer. The most fantastic headphone I have ever owned. Great bass, great sound clarity……so on.

Very Good + Great Bass

I got these as a gift so I did not pay a cent for them but I would definitely have shelled out the money for them. They are a great way to listen to music but the particular style lets a lot of sound get out. I would suggest it for at home use.

I won these in a contest at work so I’m happy I did not pay for them because I would have been sincerely disappointed. Even though the sound is very good, that is not enough. To me the second most important criteria I look for in a headset is the ability to cut out the ambient sound and these really did not do it for me. I have a habit of wearing them at work to concentrate, and I really have to pump up the volume to cut out the exterior sound. In the subway, they are even more disappointing, as they never cut the sound of the engine or people taking. I would not recommend these. Finally, I wear glasses and these hurt the back of my ears. Furthermore, I cannot wear them for long as they are tight around the ears. Big disappointment…

low end

I was dissapointed by HD 435. I find the bass a little distorted and the sound is not warm. They are under the quality of Philips SBC HP250 – 26 dollars headphones from Walmart. I also comapared with Technics RP-HT700 and Sony MDR -V700 which, it is true, are in a different class.
The song I always use for the final impression is “Crystal curfew” by Tangerine Dream – electronic music. When I put the headphones on I want to be able to say “Yes, now I hear music; it’s there and it’s full”. Unfortunately HD435 did not make it happen.

Very comfortable, great bass & mid

Typical Sennheiser’s, very comfy, I could wear it for hours with no red ears at all. In a matter of fact, after a few minutes, I could barely tell I was wearing them. For sound quality I think hd435 is quite good, has warm sound characteristic, good bass & mid. Doesn’t have very detailed sound though (if compared to the more expensive one, like hd595 for ex). If you like jazz, pop, or soft rock music, this baby will fit you alright. Easy to drive without an amp. Great choice for under $100 cans.

Impressed thus far

Last evening my Sennheiser PMX60 broke where the neckband connects to the earpiece. I wanted to get a set of headphones that would deliver a better bass than my previous pair. So I did some reading of reviews (including this one) and purchased the HD435.
So far I am very impressed. I am using my Pioneer Inno as a source and am enjoying the sound quality that the headphones are delivering. If you are into bands that play heavy rock, pop, classic rock or even classical the HD435 will not disappoint.
