Shure disappointment

Before purchasing, I read a few reviews from a variety of websites stating that the Shure SE110 were a nice upgrade from the standard earbuds delivered along with the IPOD Classic. So needless to say, I was excited to try them out. The performance was good out of the box, the bass was a little flat; worse than my JVC $25.00 earbuds, but high and mids notes were clear and well balanced. Overall I was happy with the purchase until my flight home a few days ago and they started to distort during low notes from some Jazz. I bought them before Xmas and now it is April. I returned them to Best Buy without an hassle and ordered a pair of SE310’s. I am hoping they were a bad pair from Shure and I am not wasting my money again. We will have to wait and see.
