Although I’m looking at newer remotes, the Sima SUR-25 is more than a decent remote controller. It does lack the newer Tivo and DVR commands but does have the ability to be programmed (as long as you have the original remote control and remember where you programmed it). The backlighting is adequate and you have the best of both worlds (hard buttons & touch-screen). Another issue I have is support. Where is Sima nowadays? Curiously enough, this remote almost indentically resembles the Crisp Solutions remote although theirs is sleeker and supports Tivo, etc.
