Hi, this thing is way overkill for what I use it for. I’m a graveyard shift security guard. Listen to mystery audio books while making rounds. This thing has worked great for 8 hours a nght, 5 nights a week for neigh onto a couple of years. I’m not crazy about the internal charger and the weird charging dock Sony developed for this unit. First thing to go out was the charger. Kept saying it was charged, but would only run an hour or two. I purchased a seperate 2 gumstick battery charger and carry a spare. But now it’s give up the ghost and won’t read the CD. I need another player that uses the gumstick and is as thin as this Sony D-NE920. Never used the remote part, just put a CD in, push play and stick it in my pocket. I need to turn the volumn up a bit, getting alittle older, don’t hear all I used to.

    Cheers,

    Steve
