I got this for Christmas and the lens jammed. For a while it wouldn’t focus and then it stopped turning on. Turns out this happens to a lot of people.

Last week i brought a HC40 camcorder, befor that I had a Sony DCR-TRV22, that camcorder was stolen. I like the touch screen, the good image quality of the camcorder, and the small size (the grip is not so sure like on the trv-22) of the camcorder. The nightshoot is not so amazing, maybe because the Zeiss lens diameter is smaller than on the last year models, and the batery life is simply to short (on avarage use is about 40-50 minutes). For 519 $ (now is 509 $ at the BH photovideo) is the best choice, you can’t find better camera on the market.
