Plenty of battery life (purchased them separately online though) and PLENTY of recording time before having to download or erase. Picture quality is excellent but there’s no traditional “viewfinder” so be careful with the viewfinder/touchscreen when it is opened, especially in crowded areas. Low light level capability is a bit lacking but manageable, especially with a “purchased separately” camera mounted light. Software comes bundled but it’s windows only so it’s helpful if you have additional support here for movie making.

Recorded video like I’ve never seen. I was a little disappointed to see it uses USB instead of Firewire, but transfers are lightning fast. Video is superb. Love the ease of the docking cradle. Menu takes some getting used to, but is intuitive and easy to navigate once you learn. Did I mention the fantastic video?
