I got the w800i a long time ago, and for the last year, it has been without problems. Granted, I previously had a samsung D900, which was a more stylish phone, but the phone balances style with functionality to a decent point.

    Then I suggest one checkout it’s follow-on – the w810i.

I’ve had mine for a bit over a month now and absolutely love it. The same great camera and Walkman software as the w800, but no problems with Memory Stick corruption. I’m think of purchasing the MXE 60 Xenon Flash module for it as the LED are not really useful for night photography.

I bought one for my wife because her phone was dead and I quickly decided I wanted one of my own.

The camera takes pretty darn good images for a camera phone and the flash doubles as a great flashlight.

I have had no issue with windows connecting to the device and my mac is even better. If you have a bluetooth laptop or computer you’re in great shape synching your contacts and your calendar. I’m a huge fan!

Bought two phones and they are intutiive until I tried connecting to my PC and My laptop. Both had previously run active Sync with a Toshiba PDA. Neither computer could install the drivers and it has wasted at least 10hours of my time so far including 1.5 hours with sony tech support (which is good) Still unresolved and cant transfer my contacts….

  6. Good handset with a few probs

This is a truly amazing handset, in the review they miss my fav bit.. the ability to remote control your Windows XP machines through Bluetooth. Which is great fun. However… the sandisk card I have with mine corrupts every 1-2 days, thou it’s not an issue that anything to do with the handset it is REALLY annoying to lose all your pictures and music. I happen to work in a fairly large IT dept, and a few have this phone, and I’m not alone in this issue, around 40-50% get the problem! Good phone but check the memory card BEFORE you spend days loading it with music!!!!

I had bought this phone when it just got launched in USA for $500 and I have no regrets about it. I have got soo many songs on it and use the walkman every day plus the camera has taken some really fine pics. So far the only complain I have with it is that I think I might have put too many songs on it, so it freezes for a second when I use a bluetooth with it and finish a long call. But definately am happy with this phone..

As the review states the phone is so good that you end up using it loads. I have had mine for a few months now and the only problem I have is that the port that plugs ur headphones into it very easily disconnected in your pocket. Its actually a realy pain – really limits the day to day use of a mp3 player.
