I do love this TV, but there are some draw-backs to it. I would reccomend it to anybody, but you should be aware of some minor cons that might effect your purchase decision. This is the only HDTV I have ever owned, and I don’t know anybody else who owns one, so I can’t really compare this to other HDTV sets.

    Pros:
    -HDMI port
    -Supports 480p, 720p and 1080i
-Great Image, even analogue cable looks better
    -Front S-Video/Composite Jacks
    -Good speakers/sound
    -Plenty of Component/S-Video jacks
-W-I-D-E-S-C-R-E-E-N (the main reason I got it)
    -Looks great even close-up
-Because it is a Tube TV, no need to worry about burn-in, viewing angles, screen door effect, rainbows, plasma lifespan, gun alignment, LCD blurryness or any of the other problems the other TV technoligies have

    Cons:
    -Only one HDMI port
    -No PiP
-HD sources will only be displayed on “FULL” mode, so 4:3 HD programming will be stretched
-My set needed serious calibration (geometry, focus)
-Weighs 200 pounds, shaped oddly which means it’s difficult to carry
-The top of the TV isn’t flat, so putting a center channel speaker on it is nearly impossible
