The Toshiba 23HLV84 combines the best of both worlds…high quality images with the convenience of integrated progressive scan DVD player. The high native resolution produces crisp pictures and hooking up through the HDMI connection delivers mind blowing images on HD programs. A solid performer. The only downside is the housing itself which seems to be a ‘lower grade’ plastic..hard to describe, but you know when you have a good hefty piece of plastic in your hand? This seems exceptionally light and maybe a bit flimsy…the tabs on the back component cover seem brittle and prone to breaking if too much pressure is applied in the wrong direction when disengaging from frame. This is the only reason why I did not give this unit a ‘10′.
