I own the 60GB version since Xmas 06. I like this camera but it does have a few draw backs.

    The good:

Small, compact easy to use. Hard drive holds tons of files. And organizes them nicely. Battery life is good. Nice features. Easy to get pics to CPU. Bundled AC/DC software not the best – other software is usable for viewing pics.

    The bad:

1.2 MP camera could be better. Don’t know if they are coming out with something with higher res. Pictures in low light- not so good. Movie files tend to be large at higher res.

Overall: We decided we would sacrifice quality over quantity when it comes to taking video. We are more likely to get pics and video at the same time whereas before we hardly ever dragged out the video camera at all. I like the camera but might get a better quality digital camera w/flash at some point.

…but what out for the MPEG files. I’m having trouble making DVDs and movies with the MPEGs because the Gigashot uses the most recent version of MPEG and most DVD softwares don’t play the audio part of those files. OUtside of that the camera is great. Starts up a little too low for me…you’ll miss a the kodak moment if you open and turn on at the time the event is happening.
