This Monitor Died on Me after 2.5 y

I had one of these monitors. Picture quality was great but after 2.5 years it started to get wiggy. Something inside popped and gave off a burnt smell. Sent it to Viewsonic for warranty service and they said it was unrepairable. They offered me a non Trinitron replacement or lesser quality LCD. I took the LCD but will not buy from Viewsonic again. Offering a lower quality replacement is not a good warranty.
