This has been a OK plasma, mine is about 5-6 years old now and after about 2 years it stopped displaying HD singles (Like a monitor with the freq off), but the SD still works fine. It should be noted that this is a EDTV not a HDTV. In ither words will display every HD signal at 480p the native res is something like 800×480…

DO NOT BUY THE VIEWSONIC VPW425!!!!!!
This thing is a piece of junk, the engineering is sub-standard and the customer support is worse than that. I paid $3,000 for this thing, it worked just fine for a year, then the troubles began. We have had the technicians out trying to fix it three time now–ha, no fix seems to work. As an electrical engineer I suggested they actual try troubleshooting it–too expensive they tell me. They card swap and it works for a day, then lights out or no audio. I suggested they replace the power supply, well, they sent the wrong part ! Junk

I bought this tv when it was first released what a mistake.I hope I can save you some$$$.This tv gets very hot in the rear. You may not enjoy the “buzz” sound it emits with any white or bright screen background.Forget about using it as a computer screen.Do your self a favor and get a real Plasma sony ,pioneer etc..Dont buy the “cheaper “ones to try and save some cash.Youlll just have to spend around 5 thousand for a real one.I cant possibly recommnd this tv.
