Sound quality is amazing-treble is not harsh and bass is controlled and clean. The unit is very easy to use and remote is excellent. Fully recommended.

This unit has classic Yamaha build quality and a very attractive amber front panel display that is dimmable. I haven’t listened to the analog output yet — I run the unit’s optical output into a separate stereo D/A converter pair. The digital out is as clean as a whistle — I can’t detect any dropped samples or artifacts due to error correction. The unit will play CD-Rs. The remote is well-designed… very comfortable and natural to use. In this day where there are scores of lousy products out there, it’s refreshing to find such a gem. If you want a carousel CD player, buy this thing!! (No, I don’t work for Yamaha.)
