Google has recently unveiled their latest creation, a “social streaming media player” called the Nexux Q. The device, which resembles a small black ball, acts as a relay which can take streaming media from your Android phone or tablet and route it directly to the screen or speakers of your choosing. Unfortunately for the time being, the Nexus Q is only capable of streaming content from YouTube and Google Play, but at a recent press conference Google seemed to highlight the hackability of the device, and underscore the possibility of future 3rd party applications. You can get your hands on one today, but it’ll cost you $300. Google expects to start shipping them to customers within the next few weeks.
