Same, it certainly goes off my list of places to eat. I don’t care if the food is fantastic. I don’t want my food cooked by someone with an over inflated sense of self importance who can’t accept fair critique from a paying customer.

The problem is that these chef's do not care about their customers, or likely even the money. They think they are "artists" and they simply get upset that their food is not considered the best. A bunch of ego-maniacs who should not be in this industry.

I have a lot of respect for many chefs, Michelin starred or not but I can’t believe this lot could be THAT stupid! Their reaction is the very reason why many people do not complain on the night. They don’t want to get into a public row with an egotistical chef. Yes we all know criticism hurts but if you can’t take it on the chin then get out of the restaurant business. People like James Isherwood pay your bills you numb skulls! As a paying customer he has a perfect right to critique the food you serve to him. Perhaps if these idiots payed more attention to what is leaving their kitchens then complaints like this would not arise.

Restaurants are part of a service industry, with out people to service, they fail. Also certainly not the most mature response either.
