This live lip-dub marriage proposal is the best we’ve ever seen [video]

marriage proposal

The most popular comment on an epic marriage proposal published onto YouTube reads, “So Issac… how does winning the Internet feel?” And win it he does. We’ve watched countless marriage proposals that have been posted online. But this one makes it to the top of our list.

Included in the clip is the following bit of information to set the stage for the proposal.

“On Wednesday, May 23rd, 2012, I told my girlfriend to meet me at my parent’s house for dinner. When she arrived I had stationed my brother to sit her in the back of an open Honda CRV and give her some headphones. He ‘wanted to play her a song’…

What she got instead was the world’s first Live Lip-Dub Proposal.”

Already with nearly 150,000 views, this video is epic to say the least and quickly picked up steam in just a span of one day. Appropriately set to the tune of “Marry You” by Bruno Mars, the fiancé-to-be, Amy Frankel, is sat in the open back of a car with headphones. Thanks to the music, it’s obvious from the start that Issac Lamb, the groom-to-be, would end up bending down on one knee. But the proposal itself was the surprise. As the car is slowly moving and dancers dart in and out, we can’t help but liken it to Joseph Gordon Levitt’s impromptu dancing in 500 Days of Summer. While this proposal was a collaborative effort of over sixty friends and family, including, yes, a high school band, we can’t help but be amazed by the quality of the choreography and cohesion. Then again, it could also be due to the fact that Lamb is in fact a stage actor, and that acting is in their blood. The couple met six years ago during auditions for a local production of West Side Story.

If you’re planning to propose, we challenge you to try and top this proposal.
