As a Mini owner for a bit less than a year, I can’t think of any speaker I’d rather own for this price. After auditioning numerous offerings at various outlets, I found this wonderful offering right in my price range. Some of the competitors I listened to include B&W, Paradigm, PSB, Vienna Acoustics, Monitor Audio, Kef, Martin Logan, Gallo, Revel, Quad, Sonus Faber, Focal, and Vandersteen.
While some of these makers had superior products, they cost easily $5000 or more. I know in the audio world, “as good as twice the price” is among the worst clichés, but I’d have to say, I can’t think of a speaker this good at a mere 2 kilo buck. The hybrid combination of electro-planers with a high quality mid-bass and a slot ported fast sub is excellent. The resolution and transient speeds are unparalleled, equaled by some of the other ESL speakers I’ve heard, but then, those speakers just don’t have the clean depth of these. From 27 Hz to 35 kHz, these have no peer!
