Verizon’s Ellipsis 7 is its new foray into the tablet industry, running Google’s Android OS 4.2.2 Jelly Bean on a quad-core processor clocked at 1.2 GHz with 1GB RAM. Standard storage size for the tablet is 8GB of internal flash memory, with support for up to 32GB of external memory via microSD. At only 0.4″ thick, and 8″ by 5″ wide, it boasts an impressively portable form factor, while packing a 3.2 Megapixel rear camera capable of 1080p video recording.

Software-wise, the Ellipsis 7 includes an impressive amount of built-in apps, including Amazon Kindle support for those voracious readers, RedBox Instant for movie fans, and iHeartRadio for commercial-free music on live stations or those of your own creation a la Pandora. The Google Play Store also gives users access to an endless variety of other apps, for free or for charge, from games to movies to magazines.
