Aliph Jawbone Prime Review

Summary

The Aliph Jawbone Prime Bluetooth headset offers less noise and lots of loud colors. The Jawbone Prime has improved noise cancellation over its predicesser thanks to NoiseAssasin 2.0. The Aliph team focused its engineers on eliminating the impact of wind noise and with the all new digital Sensor Signal Fusion they have succeced. The Prime supports Bluetooth 1.1, 1.2, 2.0 and 2.1+EDR. The minimalistic Jawbone Prime comes in a broad range of colors ranging from green to purple.


We haven’t had a chance to fully test this product yet, but we’ve assembled this helpful overview of relevant information on it.

Aliph’s popular Jawbone Bluetooth headset earned accolades for its stylistic design once with its first iteration, again with a design revision that boasted more colors, and now, even more colors are coming to the second-gen headset. The company added blue and pink shades to its palette on Monday.

Keeping with the slightly eccentric naming of its current colors – Blah Blah Black, Silver Tongue and Goldy Lips – the new shades have been dubbed Babbling Blue and Rambling Rosé. According to Aliph, they were the product of consumer demand.

Continuing to evolve its already highly rated Jawbone headset, Aliph released a new version of its flagship Bluetooth device on Thursday with a range of improvements over the original. The “new Jawbone,” as it’s been very simply dubbed, has shrunken significantly and includes new noise reduction technology that Aliph claims improves voice quality ten times over competing headsets.

Since size was one of the main complaints about the original Jawbone, Aliph has scaled it down by an impressive 50 percent. Weight dives even more significantly, from a hefty 28.3 grams to just 10. The headset retains its textured rectangular look, but gets a material upgrade on the ear loops, which are now bolstered in real leather.
