If you’ve ever bought anything from eBay or an Amazon seller, you’ll know one of the valued things is feedback on the transaction, a rating of the seller.
Now, in the UK, something similar is planned for family doctors, or general practitioners (GPs). Health minister Ben Bradshaw has told the NHS to have the software ready next year for people to be able to rate the competence and beside manner of their family doctors on the NHS Choice website.
Bradshaw told the Guardian:
The new drives are using perpendicular magnetic (PMR) technology and incorporate a number of Western Digital features like WD Passport, quiet operations, high shock tolerance and low power consumption.
"The new WD Scorpio 160 GB drives deliver the high capacity that many mobile computing users demand with WD’s implementation of PMR technology, as well as exclusive features that result in meaningful end-user benefits," said Jody Bradshaw, WD’s senior director and general manager of notebook storage. "With the introduction of our latest-generation WD Scorpio drives, WD offers mobile computing and portable storage customers the same outstanding quality, reliability and performance that have already earned WD a leadership position in the desktop PC market."
