Blizzard Wins $6 Mln in MMOGlider Case
World of Warcraft makers Blizzard Entertainment has been awarded a $6 million judgement against MDY Industries, the makers of MMOGlider, a program that can automate the actions of players in the popular online game, enabling them to perform repetitive tasks—and do things like "farm gold"——without the player actually having to go through all the motions. “They just don’t have a camera phone to sell during the fourth quarter,” Verizon Wireless spokesman Jim Gerace said.

The Los Angeles Times reported Friday that Apple is set to offer conglomerate Vivendi Universal up to $6 billion for the music company. Burdened with debt, Vivendi has been exploring the sale of some or all of its entertainment assets, including its movie and theme park businesses.
