Rap and physics don’t often go together. But a video of a rap song made by scientists of the Large Hedron Collider (LHC) project at CERN has proved to be a massive YouTube hit, pulling in 2.5 million hits in two weeks, Vnunet reports.
It was created by Alpinekat, actually Cern trainee Kate MacAlpine. She explained to Reuters:
"I did a science rap when I was working at the American Physical Society last summer, before coming to CERN. I wrote this on the bus on the way to and from work at CERN. Then we all got together to make the video. We all hoped it would help explain what’s going on at CERN.”
